Bajaj Auto sold 30,254 units, while Mahindra witnessed a significant sales growth of 129.76% in March 2023
FADA (Federation of Automobiles Dealership Associations) issued the 3-wheeler sales figures 2023 for March. The 3W segment highlighted sales of 86,857 units, with a sales hike of 68.71% in March 2023 compared to 51,483 units in March 2022.
On how the month of March 2023 performed, FADA President Mr. Manish Raj Singhania commented, “The 3-wheeler segment achieved record-high retail sales by growing 69% and surpassing the previous high figures of March 2020, which was a month when the industry made the transition from BS4 to BS6.”

Bajaj: The best-performing 3-wheeler brand in India is still Bajaj Auto. The manufacturer sold 30,254 units in March 2023, according to the FADA Three Wheeler Sales statistic. 17,320 units were produced in March 2022. As a result, it experienced a 74.67% increase in sales.
Piaggio: The firm sold 7,445 units in March 2023, compared to 5,079 units in March 2022, according to the FADA Three Wheeler Sales Statistics March 2023. Its sales growth increased by 46.58% as a result.
Y.C. Electric: This brand experienced a sales growth of 27.94% in its retail sales for March 2023, as it sold 3,095 units compared to 2,419 units in March 2022.
Mahindra: During March 2023, this commercial brand's retail sales showed the strongest sales trend, at 129.56%. In March 2023, it sold 4,469 units, up from 1,945 in March 2022.

Citylife: This three-wheeler company experienced a great sales growth of 115.13% in the March retail sales data. It sold 2,061 units in March 2023 compared to 958 units in March 2022.
Saarthi: This brand showed a sales growth of 46.04% in its March retail sales report, as it sold 1,310 units in March 2023 compared to 897 units in March 2022.
TVS Motors: This company witnessed a 21.33% sales growth in its March retail sales figure 2023. It sold 1,496 units in March 2023 compared to 1,233 units in March 2022.
Mini Metro: This 3 wheeler company obtained a positive growth of 96.73% in the 3-wheelers retail sales data March 2023. It sold 1,265 units in March 2023 compared to 643 units in March 2022.
J.S. Auto: This brand highlighted sales growth of 73.42% in the Three Wheeler Sales Report March 2023. It sold 966 units in March 2023 compared to 557 units in March 2022.
Manufacturers of electric vehicles and all other brands saw an increase of 69.11%. In March 2023, they sold 29,777 three-wheelers in India, compared to 17,608 units in March 2022. The industry is steadily expanding, providing new chances for market players.
