Combined CV Sales Drop Marginally by 2.69% Compared to April 2024
Ashok Leyland, one of the leading commercial vehicle manufacturers in India, has revealed its monthly sales figures for April 2025. The company recorded a total of 11,580 units in combined domestic and export commercial vehicle (CV) sales, showing a slight decline of 2.69% compared to 11,900 units sold in April 2024.

Domestic CV Sales See a Slight Dip in April 2025
In the domestic market, Ashok Leyland reported total sales of 11,018 units, down from 11,372 units in April 2024. This reflects a decline of 3.11% in overall domestic performance.
Segment-wise Domestic Sales:
- M&HCV (Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicles):
The M&HCV segment faced a drop of 10%, with 5,915 units sold in April 2025 compared to 6,537 units in April 2024.
- LCV (Light Commercial Vehicles):
On the other hand, theLCV segment offered some positivity. It grew by 6%, with 5,103 units sold this April versus 4,835 units in the same month last year.

Export Sales Register Positive Growth Despite M&HCV Dip
Ashok Leyland’s export performance was relatively better this month. The company registered 562 units in total CV exports in April 2025 compared to 528 units in April 2024, showing a growth of 6.44%.

- M&HCV Export:
Export numbers for this category fell by 5%, with 204 units sold in April 2025 against 215 units last year.
- LCV Export:
LCV exports surged with a solid 14% growth, increasing from 313 units in April 2024 to 358 units in April 2025.

A combined sale of 6,119 units was reported in April 2025, compared to 6,752 units in April 2024 — showing a decline of 9%.
- LCV (Domestic + Export):
The LCV category, including both domestic and export sales, reported 5,461 units, up by 6% from 5,148 units last year.
Despite the overall drop, Ashok Leyland's consistent performance in the LCV category — especially in exports — indicates strong product acceptance and market stability in that segment.
