The overall truck sales figures 2022 for Ashok Leyland closed positively with 39.31%, whereas the brand sold 16,019 commercial vehicles.
The flagship firm of the Hinduja Group, Ashok Leyland, has released the sales numbers for December 2022. And the numbers are looking good for the company. The brand's overall (Domestic + Export) sales were 39.31 in the last month of the year 2022. In addition, the growth of truck sales in India was 45.08% which shows that the market is growing again.
Let's look at the exact numbers of unit sales for Ashok Leyland.
Domestic Truck Sales Data:-
The total vehicle sales of the brand were 15,782, which was 10,878. As a result, the brand creates a 45.08% growth in truck sales figures 2022 December. In which the LCV segment made a sales of 5713, which was 4741 and created an increase of 21%. In addition, The M&HCV segment sales were 6137 in December 2021, which closed at 10,069 in December 2022. As a result, the segment recorded a growth of 64%.
Export Sales Data:-
Ashok Leyland export sales decreased by -61.77%, including both segments. They sold 237 commercial vehicle units as of December 2022 and 620 Cvs in the same month last year. The segment-wise sales are as follows; M&HCV segment sold 74 units which were 462 units in December 2021. So, the M&HCV sales went down by -83.98%. At the same time, the LCV segment created a growth of 3.16% by selling 163 units of CVs compared to the 158 units in December 2022.
Gross Sales (Domestic + Export):-
The overall sales of Ashok Leyland closed at a positive rate of 39.31%. The total sold units were 16,019 and 11,498 in the same month last year. The overall sales of both segments were also good. The total sold units of M&HCV were 10,143 compared to the 6,599 units in December 2022. As a result, M&HCV created a growth of 54% in this month's truck sales statistics 2022. The other segment, LCV, also ended the year with a good run. It sold 5876 units of CV as compared to the 4899 units. As a result, the sales growth was 20%.
The overall truck sales report for December 2022 of Ashok Leyland was completed with positive growth. It shows that the sales affected by Covid are now returning to the Pre-Covid era.
