Combined Domestic & Export CV Sales of Ashok Leyland Grow by 4.82%
Ashok Leyland, a leading commercial vehicle manufacturer in India, has released its sales data for May 2025, reporting a 4.82% year-on-year growth in total CV sales, including both domestic and export markets. The company sold 12,808 units in May 2025, up from 12,219 units sold in May 2024.
Domestic Sales Witness 5.57% Growth in May 2025
Ashok Leyland reported positive momentum in the domestic market, recording a 5.57% year-on-year growth. The company sold 12,614 CVs in May 2025 as compared to 11,949 units sold in May 2024.

In the domestic M&HCV (Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicle) segment, the company sold 7,466 units in May 2025, reflecting a healthy 12% growth over the 6,648 units sold in May 2024.
However, the LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle) segment witnessed a slight dip, with 5,148 units sold in May 2025 compared to 5,301 units in May 2024, registering a decline of 3%.
Export Sales Decline by 28.15%
Ashok Leyland's export numbers declined significantly in May 2025, recording a drop of 28.15% over the same month last year. The company exported 194 units in May 2025, compared to 270 units in May 2024.

In the export M&HCV category, Ashok Leyland sold 140 units in May 2025, a 6% increase compared to 132 units in May 2024.
On the other hand, the LCV export segment witnessed a sharp decline of 61%, with 54 units exported in May 2025 as against 138 units in May 2024.

The combined sales figures for both domestic and export markets stood at 12,808 units in May 2025, up from 12,219 units in May 2024, showing a 4.82% growth.
- M&HCV segment gross sales stood at 7,606 units in May 2025 compared to 6,780 units in May 2024, reflecting a strong 12% rise.
- The LCV segment, however, saw a marginal decline of 4%, with 5,202 units sold in May 2025 versus 5,439 units in May 2024.
