Ashok Leyland launched its new AVTR 2620 6x2 truck in the ongoing AVTR series and became the only manufacturer to have a full range of trucks based on lift axle technology from 25.5 T to 47.5 T according to the company.
Ashok Leyland, the leading manufacturer of commercial vehicles in India and flagship of the Hinduja Group, launched their first 8-Wheeler AVTR 2620 Truck on Thursday. With this launch, Ashok Leyland became the only industry to have a full range of trucks built on the lift axle technology from 25.5 T to 47.5T.
On the launch occasion, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Head – M&HCV, Ashok Leyland, said, "Ashok Leyland has a history of introducing products that have disrupted the CV industry. This new AVTR 2620 6x2 Truck can be operated in two modes, First is a 25.5T (6x2) truck for heavy loads like the regular 6x2 MAV with the lift axle down, and the other one is an 18.5 T(4x2) truck with the lift axle down in the case of small loads or empty returns. In addition to this, the truck offers operational flexibility because of the load options and best-in-class total operating cost, said the officials.
The company revealed some of the specifications of the truck at the event. So let's look at them.
The truck is designed with a 200HP engine with iGen6 technology by Ashok Leyland house. The AVTR 2620 is engineered with AVTR technology, and it offers multiple cabin options and many features. The truck is launched in 3 cabin options N cab, U cab and M cab. The loading span ranges from 24 ft to 32 ft.
The N cab offers you the best driving experience through the Suspended cab with dampers, a Suspended driver seat for comfort, an antiroll bar in the front, excellent storage spaces, Full Metal Front Fascia, Music system, AC & HVAC options.
This truck's other features are the i-Alert (advanced telematics) and remote diagnostics – supported by 24×7 customer assistance Uptime Solution Centre.
