Combined Domestic & Export CV Sales of Ashok Leyland Grow by 6.34%
Ashok Leyland, a top commercial vehicle manufacturer in India, revealed its sales data for December 2024, showcasing growth in both domestic and export markets. The company recorded an overall growth of 6.34% compared to December 2023.
In the domestic market, Ashok Leyland reported a 5.73% increase in sales, with 14,204 units sold in December 2024 compared to 13,434 units in December 2023.

The M&HCV segment witnessed a 9% growth, selling 8,979 units in December 2024 compared to 8,213 units in December 2023. However, the LCV category remained stable with no significant change, recording 5,225 units sold in both December 2023 and 2024.

Ashok Leyland's export sales experienced remarkable growth, with an overall increase of 26.41%. The Medium and Heavy duty commercial vehicle export category saw a significant rise of 144.34%, with 259 units sold in December 2024 compared to 106 units in December 2023.
In contrast, the LCV export category experienced a decline of 14.85%, with 258 units sold in December 2024, down from 303 units in December 2023.
Commercial Vehicle Gross (Domestic + Export) Sales Data, December 2024
The gross commercial vehicle sales, including both domestic and export markets, showed an overall growth of 6.34%. Ashok Leyland sold 14,721 units in December 2024 compared to 13,843 units in December 2023.
The M&HCV segment recorded an 11% growth, with 9,238 units sold in December 2024 versus 8,319 units in December 2023. Meanwhile, the LCV segment saw a slight dip of 1%, with sales dropping to 5,483 units in December 2024 from 5,524 units in December 2023.
