The AVTR UF 3522 is the first truck to be based on the LNG fuel technology in the Country.
The commercial vehicle giant and flagship firm of the Hinduja Group, Ashok Leyland, has announced the launch of India's first LNG-based vehicle. Ashok Leyland, which always goes through a productive process of R&D, is the first brand to get the LNG Fueled Truck Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR) certificate for its upcoming model Ashok leyland AVTR UF 3522 and its variants.
The company all stays up for new inventions like this. The new vehicle is designed to provide sustainable solutions to the pollution problem. The Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) gave the certificate. The new vehicle comes under the scheme of green mobility; Ashok Leyland launches the new AVTR UF 3522.
The Chief Technology Officer, Dr N Saravanan, said, "We are proud to bring the first LNG fueled truck to India, completely developed in and for India. As a part of our green mobility agenda, we aim to bring alternative fuel-based vehicles which can provide the same efficiency and range as our ICE models. AVTR UF3522 aims to bring clean and safe vehicles to all our stakeholders. Our LNG vehicle is based on our proven modular truck platform – AVTR along with H6 engine to provide better range and operability across all functions and industries."
The brand plans to expand the portfolio of CNG and LNG-based trucks and other commercial vehicles. The brand has not compromised on the Power and Torque of these vehicles. As the LNG is light in weight, the vehicle can be filled with the amount of CNG exceedingly in it. These vehicles' range is said to be 1500 KM in one go.
