Daimler Truck’s Indian Brand Reaches Major Delivery Landmark
Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), has achieved a major milestone by delivering its 2,00,000th BharatBenz truck in India. This success marks strong growth since the brand's launch in 2012, showing increasing trust in its commercial vehicles.
BharatBenz offers trucks from 10 to 55 tons used in transport, logistics, and mining, along with buses for Indian roads. The brand is supported by a wide service network of 375+ customer touchpoints across the country.
Modern Facility at Oragadam Boosts Global Production
All BharatBenz vehicles are produced at DICV’s state-of-the-art plant in Oragadam, Chennai, spread over 400 acres (160 hectares). This facility also manufactures vehicles for four major global brands—BharatBenz, Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner, and FUSO—for over 70 markets in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.
Part of Mercedes-Benz Trucks Segment from 2025
Since January 2025, DICV has officially become part of the Mercedes-Benz Trucks segment under Achim Puchert, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Trucks. This move strengthens Daimler’s global strategy and connects Indian manufacturing with global standards.
Reaching the 2 lakh milestone proves that strong products, customer support, and a growing presence ensure its continued success in India’s commercial vehicle market.
