The 3-Wheelers and Commercial Vehicles sectors recorded a growth of 65.87% and 25.40%, respectively
FADA (Federation of Automobiles Dealership Associations) released the sales numbers of commercial vehicles, including the 3-Wheelers. The total number of combined commercial vehicles sold is 1,41,206 units, with an increase of 41.75% compared to the 99,614 units of October 2021. In which the sales of 3-Wheelers stood at 66,763 units increased by 65.87% according to the commercial vehicle sales statistics 2022.
Let’s break down the commercial vehicle sales in India into all the segments to understand the combined commercial vehicle sales report October 2022.
E-RICKSHAW(P) - E-RICKSHAW (P) sales closed with 30,519 sold units, registering a growth of 90.85% as the units sold in October 2021 were 15,991.
E-RICKSHAW WITH CART (G) - The segment ended the month with 1,949 sold units. It gets an increase of 62.69% as the sold units were 1,198.
THREE WHEELER (GOODS) - THREE WHEELER (GOODS) recorded a minimal growth of 7.97%. The segment closed the sales with 6,912 sold units.
THREE WHEELER (PASSENGER) - THREE WHEELER (PASSENGER) is creating a good market consistently and growing at a good pace. It increased by 64.50% in October 2022. A total of 27,337 units were sold last month, whereas, in October 2021, it sold 16,618 units.
THREE WHEELER (PERSONAL) - This segment ended the month with a total sales of 46 units and an increase of 9.52% against the 42 units last October.
All the commercial vehicle categories also registered good growth in the commercial vehicle figure 2022. The segment created a total sales of 74,443 units, with an increase of 25.40% against the 59,363 units of October the previous year. But first, look at the commercial vehicle sales data for this October.
CV Category Sales -
LCV - The LCV or Light Commercial Vehicle segment sold 44,896 units in October 2022. The sector rose by 22.74% as the units sold last year were 36,578.
MCV - The Medium Commercial Vehicle closed its sales of October 2022 with a 4.41% increase. The units sold in October 2022 were 4,475, whereas it was 4,286 in October 2021.
HCV - The Heavy Commercial Vehicle segment recorded the highest growth in sales of October 2022. The HCV segment sold 22,858 units and created an upward trend of 38.00% against the 16,564 units of last October.
Others - All the other categories of commercial vehicles sold 2,214 units in October 2022 and 1,935 units last October. As a result, the segment recorded a growth of 14.42%.
Both the Three-wheelers and Commercial Vehicles sales experienced good growth in this sales and the numbers look promising for the upcoming months also.
