Force Motors increased its sales with the highest margin of 112.04% in February 2023 commercial vehicle sales in India.
FADA (FEDERATION OF AUTOMOBILE DEALERS ASSOCIATIONS) has released the retail sales data of Commercial Vehicle Manufacturers for February 2023. The sales report consists of a mixed response from the customer, but the overall sales resulted in a positive side. Total sales of all companies for February 2023 were 79,027, which is a hike of 17.26% against the 67,391 units of February 2022.

Mr Manish Raj Singhania, President of FADA, said, “The Commercial Vehicle category has also shown robust growth by growing 17% YoY though it fell by -10% when compared to pre-covid month of February’20. Walk-in enquiries improved during the month. Apart from this, demand has also increased due to change in OBD norms which will see price hikes. On the Government’s side, infrastructure spending has been healthy. This is also aiding better sales.”
Brand-Wise Commercial Vehicle Sales Data:-
FADA sales report of Commercial Vehicle shows the sales of all big manufacturers. It is a comparison of sales between February 2022 and 2023. So let’s take a look at the commercial vehicle sales statistics 2023.
Tata Motors is one of the most popular commercial vehicle manufacturers. In the sales of February 2023, the brand sold 30,280 units of CVs against the 28,392 units in February 2022. As a result, the brand gained 6.64% in the truck sales statistics 2023 for February.
Mahindra & Mahindra:-
Mahindra & Mahindra comes with a great experience in the CV sector. The brand sold 18,845 units in February 2023, which was 14,225 units in the same month last year. As a result, the OEM ended the month with an increase of 32.47%.
Ashok Leyland, which is a flagship firm of the Hinduja Group, also showed good growth in February 2023 sales. The company sold 13,331 units in February, which was 10,418 units in February 2022. In addition, it also recorded an increase of 27.96%.
VECV, the joint venture of Volvo Trucks and Eicher Motors, closed the sales with a hike of 39.58%. The group made sales of 5,638 units in February 2023, which was 4,039 units in February 2022. As a result, VECV did a growth of 39.58% in the FADA truck sales report February 2023.
Maruti Suzuki reported a decline in the YoY sales of February 2023. The brand sold 3,209 units in February 2023, which closed with 3,331 units in February 2022. Also, the OEM registered a sales decrease of 3.66%.
The world-renowned Daimler group operated in India under the name of BharatBenz Trucks. In the February 2023 sales, the brand sold 1,785 units which stayed at 1,449 units in February last year. As a result, the brand did a sales growth of 23.18%.
Force Motors is showing continuous growth in FADA sales growth. The brand closed the month with sales of 880 units on Feb’ 23, an increase of 112.04% against the 415 units in February 2022.
SML ISUZU sold 542 units in February 2023, which was 529 units in the same month last year. As a result, the brand experienced a sales hike of 2.45%.
All the other companies in the commercial vehicle sector contributed 6.82% of the total sales. They sold a total of 4,517 units in February 2023, which was 4,593 units in the same month last year, and showed a decline of 1.65% in the FADA commercial vehicle sales figures 2023 for February.
