Commercial Vehicle Retail Sales Growth 26% in January 2022

Here is another commercial vehicle sales report of the year 2022. According to the report, commercial vehicle and 3 wheeler retail sales have seen massive growth in Jan’22. 

Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) has released a commercial vehicle and three-wheeler retail sales report for January 2022. According to the FADA, total vehicle (commercial vehicle+three wheeler) retail sales stood at 105,164 units in January 2022, increasing 26%. In January 2021, the retail sales of vehicles stood at 83,667 units. Unfortunately, total vehicle sales have declined by 36.61% in January 2022 compared to 135,448 units sold in January 2020. 

An important thing about this report is that CV retail sales have seen massive growth across the LCV, MCV and HCV. Total commercial vehicle sales stood at 64,715 units in January 2022, growing 23.25% over 52,505 units sold in January 2021. At the same time, LCV retail sales stood at 40,343 units in January 2022, up 16.46% against 34,640 units sold in January 2021. On the other hand, MCV retail sales have seen 17.11% growth in January 2022 by selling 4,093 units against 3,495 units in January 2021. HCV retail sales stood at 20,279 units in January 2022, up 41.12% over 14,370 units sold in January 2021. 

The three-wheeler segment also saw good growth in its retail sales. In January 2022, 40,449 units of three-wheelers sold, up 29.80% as against 31,162 units in January 2021.
