Commercial Vehicles Sales Increased by 278% May 2022 Tata, Mahindra  Ashok

The commercial vehicle sector witnessed a good run in commercial vehicle sales in May 2022.

FADA( Federation of Automobiles Dealers Association) released the data of May 2022, the commercial vehicle sector closed the sales on a positive side. The highest gainer of the sales was the LCV segment which rose by 308%, HCV and MCV closed the sales at 235% and 219% respectively. 

The MoM sales decreased by 15%, from 78,398 units in April '22 to 66,632 units in May '22.

Tata Motors

Tata Motors is India's leading commercial vehicle brand, and they are providing their customers with the best services. Tata Motors sold 27,553 units of commercial vehicles in May '22, going up by 273% from 7,373 units sold in May '21. The company experienced a decline in the market share by 0.53% in the May '22 sales report. 

Mahindra & Mahindra 

Mahindra retail sales increased by 337.09%. They sold 14,739 on May '22, and the numbers were 3,372 in the same month last year. Mahindra has gained the belief of their customer and it showed when The market share gained 3% in May this year. 

Ashok Leyland

Ashok Leyland is the third company this year to sell over 10,000 units of commercial vehicles. The company sold 10,391units which was  2792 units in May 2021, this shows a growth of 272.17%.

VECV

Volvo-Eicher Commercial Vehicle recorded a sales growth of 387%. Although the company closed the sales last month at 4,528 units, the sales numbers were less than a thousand last year and stopped at 928. As a result, the company's market share in the total sales report went up by 1.53%.

Maruti Suzuki 

The most preferred passenger vehicles brand, Maruti Suzuki, increased its sales by 241.26% after selling 3,027 units this year. The company sold 887 units last May of 2021. The Market share of the brand slightly decreased by 0.50%.

Daimler India

The sales of Daimler India stood at 1,161 units, increasing 160.31% from 639 units sold in May last year. As a result, the company's market share went downwards and touched 1.74%, covering 2.54% of the market last year. 

Force Motors

Force Motors sales record showed a decent growth of 78.56% in their sales. The company sold 1,141 vehicles in May '22, which was 639 units last year. The company's Market share dropped from 3.63% in May '21 to 1.71% in May this year. 

SML Isuzu

The brand recorded the highest growth of 599.18% in this year's sales report among every other competitor. The company sold 860 units this year; the numbers were 123 in May last year. 

All the other brands contributed 3,232 units this year and covered 4.85% of the total market share. Last year the data of all the other brands was 1,047 units sold and covered 5.95% of the market share.
