In December 2024, FADA Recorded a Decline of 4.86% in Total Combined CV Sales
The FADA (Federation of Automobile Dealers Association) has released the latest sales figures for commercial vehicles (CVs) and three-wheelers. In December 2024, combined CV sales reached 165,920 units, a decline of 4.86% compared to 174,394 units sold in December 2023.
Commercial vehicle sales dropped by 5.24%, with 72,028 units sold in December 2024 compared to 76,010 units in the previous year. Additionally, the three-wheeler segment witnessed a steep decline of 4.57%, with sales reducing to 93,892 units from 98,384 units in December 2023.

Retail sales in the E-Rickshaw segment showed a decline, selling fewer units compared to December 2023.

THREE-WHEELER (GOODS)
The Three wheeler goods segment recorded a decrease in sales, impacting the overall three-wheeler category performance.
THREE-WHEELER (PASSENGER)
This passenger vehicle segment faced reduced retail sales, with fewer units sold in December 2024 compared to December 2023.
THREE-WHEELER (PERSONAL)
The personal three-wheeler segment experienced mixed results, reflecting challenges in the segment.

The commercial vehicle segment has been subdivided into LCV, MCV, HCV, and others. Here are the detailed CV sales figures:
LCV
The Light Commercial Vehicle segment saw a decline of 7.05% in retail sales, with 39,794 units sold in December 2024 compared to 42,814 in December 2023.
MCV
The MCV category also witnessed a drop of 6.52% in sales, selling 4,662 units in December 2024 compared to 4,987 in December 2023.
HCV
The Heavy Commercial Vehicle segment registered a decline of 4.70%, with 22,781 units sold in December 2024 compared to 23,904 in December 2023.
Others
Other categories, including construction equipment vehicles, saw positive growth of 11.29%, reaching 4,791 units in December 2024 compared to 4,305 units in December 2023.
