The FADA (Federation of Automobile Dealers Association) has released the latest sales figures for commercial vehicles (CVs) and three-wheelers. In November 2024, combined CV sales reached 190,304 units, a slight decline of 0.47% from 191,211 units sold in November 2023.
Commercial vehicle sales dropped by 6.08%, with 81,967 units sold in November 2024 compared to 87,272 units in the previous year. However, the three-wheeler segment saw a modest growth of 4.23%, with sales increasing to 108,337 units from 103,939 units in November 2023.
FADA Retail Sales Report by Segment Three-Wheeler
Retail sales in the E-Rickshaw segment decreased 3.18% in November 2024. The segment sold 40,391 units, compared to 41,718 in November 2023.
This category saw a substantial rise of 70.11% in retail sales. The E-Rickshaw with cart sold 5,423 units in November 2024, compared to 3,188 in November 2023.
The Three wheeler goods segment recorded a 3.95% increase in sales, selling 10,940 units in November 2024, compared to 10,524 units in November 2023.
This passenger vehicle segment registered a significant retail sales growth of 6.30%. It sold 51,466 units in November 2024, compared to 48,418 units in November 2023.
The personal three-wheeler segment saw a remarkable 28.57% rise in sales, with 117 units sold in November 2024, up from 91 units in November 2023.

The Light Commercial Vehicle segment saw a 4.46% decline in retail sales, with 47,530 units sold in November 2024 compared to 49,751 in November 2023.
The MCV category saw a minimal decrease of 0.05% in sales, selling 5,473 units in November 2024 compared to 5,476 in November 2023.
The Heavy Commercial Vehicle segment experienced a significant decline of 11.56%, selling 24,441 units in November 2024 compared to 27,635 units in November 2023.
Other categories, including construction equipment, saw a growth of 2.56%, reaching 4,523 units in November 2024 compared to 4,410 in November 2023.
