FADA Combined CV Sales Grew By 30.71% In June 2023

The 3-Wheeler Passenger segment experienced a growth of 120.97% in the FADA retail sales of June 2023.

FADA, the Federation Of Automobile Dealers Association, has released the combined commercial vehicle sales for June. This sale includes all the categories of Commercial Vehicle and Three-Wheelers. The combined commercial vehicle recorded a growth of 30.71% in June 2023.

The total number of vehicles sold in June 2023 was 1,59,723, whereas the units sold in June 2022 were 1,22,193. In this complete data, the CV segment contributed with 73,212 units, which was 72,894 units in same month last year, resulting in 0.44% growth. At the same time, the 3-wheeler 86,511 units were sold in June 2023, gaining 75.48% against the 49,299 units in the same month last year. 

Segment-Wise FADA Sales Report - Three Wheeler

E-RICKSHAW (P) - Under the E Rickshaw segment, a sales growth of 60.95% in retail was observed in June 2023. The brand sold 39,042 units in June 2023 compared to 24,257 units sold in June 2022.

E-RICKSHAW WITH CART (G) - This segment observed a hike of 54.84% in its retail sales in June 2023. This month saw 2,877 sold units in June 2023 compared to 1,858 units in June 2022.

THREE WHEELER (GOODS) - This 3-wheeler segment observed a slight growth of 23.33% in its June 2023 sales figure 2023 was noted. Its sold units were 8,342 in June 2023 against 6,764 in June 2022.

THREE WHEELER (PASSENGER) - This passenger vehicle segment experienced a significant retail sales growth of 120.97% in June 2023. The segment sold 36,180 units in June 2023, which was 16,373 in June 2022. 

THREE WHEELER (PERSONAL) - Personal three-wheeler recorded an increase of 48.94% in its retail sales was seen in June 2023. The segment sold 47 units in June 2022, which increased to 70 units in June 2023.

Segment-Wise FADA Sales Report - Commercial Vehicles (CV)

All the commercial vehicle categories showed a brilliant run in the June Y-O-Y sales except the LCV segment, which ended the month with a sales drop. The CV sales statistics are divided into different categories: LCV, MCV, HCV, and others. The FADA Commercial Vehicle Sales Report June 2023 is explained below.

LCV

LCV segment experienced a sales drop of 4.58% in its retail sales of June 2023. In June 2023, the segment closed the sales with 41,975 units; in June 2022, the sales were 43,989. 

MCV

The MCV category of Commercial vehicles sold 5,988 units in June 2023 against 5,621 units in June 2022. As a result, the MCV segment created a growth of 6.53%.

HCV 

Under the HCV segment, a slight sales growth of 4.93% in retail sales was registered in June 2023. In this period, its sold units were 22,070 in June 2023 compared to 21,034 in June 2022.

Others

All other remaining segments of the CV category ended June 2023 with sales of 3,179 units. It witnessed sales of 2,250 units in June 2022. This segment recorded a sales growth of 41%.
