FADA Commercial Vehicle Recorded Sales of 73,212 Units in June 2023

Daimler India registered the highest growth of 41.05% in the FADA June 2023 Report, selling 1,560 CV units.

The Federation Of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) released the sales data for commercial vehicle sales in June 2023. This data consists of the sales of all popular Commercial Vehicle manufacturers in India. It shows an overall growth of 0.44% in Y-O-Y truck sales in India. The Commercial Vehicle sold a total no. of 73,212 in June 2023, which was 72,894 units in June 2022.

Tata Motors again stayed at the top of the table with the highest sales number of 26,033 units, whereas Daimler India created the highest growth of 41.05% in FADA June 2023 sales. 

Official Statement Of FADA:-

Commenting on June 2023 performance, FADA President Mr Manish Raj Singhania stated, The CV segment confronted mixed dynamics influenced by inconsistent demand, supply issues, government policies, and external market factors. Despite fluctuating demand and vehicle availability issues, the government's infrastructural push and coal mining growth spurred demand for heavy commercial vehicles, counteracted by high-interest rates and rising prices."

Brand-Wise Commercial Vehicles Sales Data

Let's look at the complete Commercial Vehicle Retails Sales of June 2023 from FADA. This section has broken down the entire CV sales according to the brands.

Tata Motors:-

Tata Motors, the biggest CV manufacturer in India, closed June 2023 as the table topper. The brand sold 26,033 units in June 2023, which was 29,258 units in the same month last year. The brand has sold the highest number of units but still needs more sales, and it dropped by 11.02%. 

Mahindra & Mahindra:-

Mahindra & Mahindra sold finished the month at position 2 in the FADA CV sales report. The brand sold 16,873 in June 2023, whereas the sales of June 2022 were 16,740 units. Hence, Mahindra & Mahindra registered a decent growth of 0.79%. 

Ashok Leyland:- 

Ashok Leyland also had a great run in the June 2023 FADA sales. The brand sold 11,907 units of commercial vehicles in June 2023, whereas they sold 11,063 units in June last year. As a result, Ashok Leyland saw a growth of 7.63% in sales.

VECV:-

VECV, The joint venture of Volvo Trucks India and Eicher Trucks & Bus, registered a sales hike of 21.76% in June 2023 sales. The brand sold 5,886 units of CVs in June 2023 and had sales of 4,834 units in the same month last year. 

Maruti Suzuki:-

The Passenger Vehicle giant Maruti Suzuki excelled in its commercial vehicle sales in June 2023. This brand sold 3,446 units in June 2023, with a significant growth of 20.49%, whereas the sales units in June 2022 were 2,860. 

Daimler:-

Daimler company which operates in India as BharatBenz Trucks, sold 1,560 units in June 2023. The brand grew 41.05% as it sold 1,106 in June 2022. BharatBenz created the highest sales growth among all the brands. 

Force Motors Limited:-

Force Motors Limited sold 1,435 units of Commercial Vehicles in the FADA June 2023 sales report. Whereas in the same month last year, the brand sold 1,147 units. As a result, the brand registered a sales growth of 25.11%.    

SML Isuzu:- 

SML Isuzu also created a good growth of 29.70% in the June Y-O-Y sales. The brand sold 973 units in June 2022, which increased to 1,262 units in June this year. 

Along with this, all the other brands of the CV segment sold 4,810 units in FADA's June 2023 sales. Moreover, these brands sold 4,913 units in June 2022 sales, resulting in a fall of -2.09%.
