FADA Reports 82,763 Commercial Vehicle Sales in February 2025

Commercial Vehicle Retail Sales Show 8.6% Decline in February 2025

The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) has released the commercial vehicle sales report for February 2025. The market witnessed an overall decline of 8.6% YoY, with total sales reaching 82,763 units, down from 90,551 units in February 2024.

FADA's Insights on Market Performance

FADA President, Mr. C S Vigneshwar, shared his perspective on the Auto Retail performance for February 2025, "The CV segment faced challenges in February, recording a modest YTD decline of -0.5%, while retail sales dropped by -8.6% YoY. Dealers reported weak sales in the transportation sector, tightening finance norms, and pricing pressures that delayed customer decisions, particularly for bulk orders and institutional contracts. However, strong order bookings in the tipper segment, supported by increased government spending and steady supplies, provided some relief. Despite the prevailing negative sentiment, there is cautious optimism that the market will improve in March as dealers recalibrate their targets to align with demand."
