FADA Retail Sales for July 2023, The 3-Wheeler Passenger Sector Increased by 74.30%.
The combined sales of commercial vehicles for the month of July have been made public by FADA, the Federation Of Automobile Dealers Association. All commercial vehicles and 3-wheeler categories are included in this sale. In July 2023, the market for commercial vehicles had a growth rate of 33.11%.
The total number of vehicles sold in July 2023 was 1,67,213. On the other hand, the units sold in July 2022 were 1,25,619. In this complete data, the CV segment contributed 73,065 units compared to 71,619 units in the same month last year, resulting in 2.02% growth. At the same time, the 3-wheeler had 94,148 units in July 2023, gaining 74.30% against the 54,000 units in the same month last year.
FADA Sales Report by Segment - Three Wheeler
E-RICKSHAW (P)
Under the E Rickshaw segment, a sales growth of 61.00% in retail was observed in July 2023. The brand sold 43,529 units in July 2023, compared to 27,037 units sold in July 2022.
E-RICKSHAW WITH CART (G)
This segment observed a hike of 38.86% in its retail sales in July 2023. This month saw 2,773 sold units in July 2023, compared to 1,997 in July 2022.
THREE WHEELER (GOODS)
This 3-wheeler segment observed a slight growth of 45.35% in its July 2023 sales figure. Its sold units were 9,010 in July 2023, compared to 6,199 in July 2022.
THREE WHEELER (PASSENGER)
This passenger vehicle segment experienced significant retail sales growth of 106.97% in July 2023. The segment sold 38,761 units in July 2023, compared to 18,728 in July 2022.
THREE WHEELER (PERSONAL)
The personal three-wheeler recorded an increase of 92.31% in its retail sales in July 2023. The segment sold 39 units in July 2022, which increased to 75 in July 2023.
FADA Sales Report by Segment - Commercial Vehicles (CV)
All the commercial vehicle categories performed well in the July Y-O-Y sales except the LCV segment, which saw a sales drop at the month's end. The CV sales statistics are divided into different categories: LCV, MCV, HCV, and others. The following explains the FADA Commercial Vehicle Sales Report for July 2023:
LCV
The LCV segment experienced a sales drop of 3.21% in its retail sales in July 2023. In July 2023, the segment closed with 43,236 units; in July 2022, the sales were 44,672.
MCV
The MCV category of Commercial vehicles sold 6,182 units in July 2023, compared to 5,329 units in July 2022. As a result, the MCV segment experienced growth of 16.01%.
HCV
Under the HCV segment, there was a slight sales growth of 4.52% in retail sales in July 2023. In this period, its units sold were 20,581 in July 2023, compared to 19,691 in July 2022.
Others
All other remaining segments of the CV category ended in July 2023 with sales of 3,066 units. It witnessed sales of 1,927 units in July 2022. This segment recorded a sales growth of 59.11%.
