Jupiter Partners with Pickkup to Promote EV Use in Logistics

300 JEM TEZ Electric Vehicles to Join Pickkup Fleet

Jupiter Electric Mobility, the electric vehicle arm of Jupiter Wagons Limited, has signed a new deal with Pickkup, a growing logistics company. Under this deal, 300 JEM TEZ electric light commercial vehicles (LCVs) will be delivered to Pickkup by the end of 2025. This step supports the growing use of electric vehicles in India's transport and delivery sector.

Trial Success Leads to Bigger Plans

Before this partnership, both companies ran trial runs with the JEM TEZ electric vehicles. These trials showed that the EVs could cover 190 to 220 kilometers on a single charge. This range was tested on busy urban routes and even on longer routes like Delhi to Chandigarh. The vehicles also support a strong payload of 1,050 kilograms, making them useful for delivery work. They are also built with CCS2 charging support, allowing faster and efficient charging.

Pickkup Expanding With EV Support

Pickkup started operations four years ago and now runs a fleet of electric three-wheelers and four-wheelers. These vehicles serve cities in the National Capital Region (NCR) and nearby tier-2 cities such as Mohali and Chandigarh. In February 2025, Pickkup raised $500,000 in seed funding from We Founder Circle. The funds are helping the company grow its delivery operations and invest in better technology.

Supporting Clean Mobility Goals

This new partnership also supports the PM e-DRIVE scheme by the Government of India. The scheme encourages the use of electric vehicles in commercial transport. In recent years, the Indian electric vehicle market has seen strong growth. The government is pushing for cleaner transport to reduce pollution and lower fuel use.

Jupiter’s Plans for Future Growth

Jupiter Electric Mobility builds its vehicles at its factory in Pithampur, Indore, which can make 8,000 to 10,000 EVs per year. The company is planning to grow its operations to meet increasing demand in the logistics sector.

A Step Toward Greener Deliveries

So far, Pickkup has completed over 150,000 kilometers of deliveries using electric vehicles. The company has over 100 employees and provides various logistics services like on-demand delivery, warehouse support, and corporate transport.

The new partnership shows how companies are working together to create greener and more affordable delivery systems in India.
