Mahindra Registers 9% Growth in Domestic CV & 3W Sales in May 2025

Strong Domestic Sales Growth in May 2025
Mahindra's domestic commercial vehicle sales experienced an upward trend in May 2025, with a total of 28,027units sold, representing a 9% increase from 25,793 units in May 2024. LCV < 2T (Light Commercial Vehicle < 2 Tonnes)
The LCV < 2T segment experienced an 18% decline in sales, with Mahindra selling 2,580 units in May 2025 compared to 3,156 units in May 2024. This drop reflects ongoing challenges in the small LCV category, which evolving demand trends have impacted.
LCV 2T – 3.5T (Light Commercial Vehicle 2T – 3.5 Tonnes)
In contrast, the LCV 2T – 3.5T segment recorded a 14% growth, with sales rising to 17,718 units in May 2025 from 15,587 units in the same month last year. This category remains robust due to strong demand for versatile and efficient commercial vehicles.
LCV > 3.5T + MHCV (Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicles)
Sales in the LCV > 3.5T + MHCV category grew slightly by 1% in May 2025, with 1,094 units sold compared to 1,083 units in May 2024. This stable growth demonstrates Mahindra's solid footprint in the medium and heavy commercial vehicle segment.
3-Wheelers (Including Electric 3Ws)
The 3-wheeler segment, including both conventional and electric models, saw a healthy 11% rise in sales. Mahindra sold 6,635 units in May 2025, compared to 5,967 units in May 2024. This improvement underscores the growing acceptance of electric mobility solutions and Mahindra's commitment to innovation in the 3-wheeler market.
Mahindra Export Sales Soar
Mahindra’s export performance also remained strong in May 2025, further strengthening its presence in international markets. Export sales surged by 37%, reaching 3,652 units in May 2025, compared to 2,671 units in May 2024. This significant jump highlights Mahindra’s growing footprint across more than 100 global markets.
