Mahindra Commercial Vehicle Sales Report July 2023, Surge By 8.23%

Mahindra has sold 27,379 commercial vehicles in the domestic market.

The 3-wheelers (including E-3 wheeler) category recorded the highest growth of 49% in truck sales in India.

Mahindra Trucks is India’s one of the most popular commercial vehicle brands. The company has just revealed its truck sales data for July 2023 and achieved remarkable growth. They sold 27,379 units in July 2023, compared to 25,297 in July 2022. As a result, the data indicates a growth of 8.23%.

The sales of different categories were also highlighted in the Mahindra CV sales figures for July 2023. Let's now examine the brand's category-by-category sales data.

LCV<2T

The category registered sales of 3400 units in July 2023, compared to 3693 units in July 2022. The segment sees a drop of 8% in sales. 

LCV 2 T–3.5 T

Mahindra closed the July 2023 sales with 16,503 units, whereas the sold units of LCV 2 T–3.5 T were 16,445 in the same month last year. The brand experienced zero growth in the same month of both financial years. 

LCV > 3.5T + MHCV

The LCV > 3.5T + MHCV segment witnessed an average growth of 23% in the month of July. To illustrate, the segment sold 995 commercial vehicles in July 2023, compared to 808 in July 2022.

3 Wheelers (Including Electric 3Ws)

The 3-wheeler category, including the electric segment, also registered a note-worthy growth. They sold 6481 units of the 3-wheelers and electric 3-wheelers in July 2023, compared to 4351 units in July 2022. Therefore, the brand registered excellent growth of 49%.

According to Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., “It has been a record-breaking month for us. We are excited to clock the highest-ever SUV domestic sales of 36,205 in a month. The XUV700 tribe grew to 1 lakh strong in a record 20 months. Also, in July, the Scorpio brand achieved the highest sales in a month since its launch. We continue to receive robust demand for our key brands. We will closely monitor the availability of semi-conductors and select parts to ensure sustained scaleup.”
