Mahindra Sold 23,195 Commercial Vehicles in the Domestic Market
The LCV > 3.5T + MHCV category recorded the highest growth of 170% in truck sales in India.
Mahindra, a prominent commercial vehicle manufacturer in India, reported a 7.70% decrease in domestic commercial vehicle (CV) sales for December 2023. The sales figures reveal a decline from 25,132 units in December 2022 to 23,195 units in December 2023.

LCV<2T
The category registered sales of 2,849 units in Dec 2023, compared to 3,031 units in December 2022. The brand witnessed a 6% loss in sales growth.
LCV 2 T–3.5 T
Mahindra closed the December 2023 sales with 12,668 units, whereas the sold units of LCV 2 T–3.5 T were 16,170 in the same month last year. The brand experienced a 22% decline in the financial year.
LCV > 3.5T + MHCV
The LCV > 3.5T + MHCV segment experienced a growth of 170% in December. To illustrate, the segment sold 2,371 CVs in Dec 2023, compared to 879 in Dec 2022.
3 Wheelers (Including Electric 3Ws)
The 3-wheeler category, including the electric segment, also registered a note-worthy growth. They sold 5,307 units of the 3-wheelers & electric 3-wheelers in Dec 2023, compared to 5,052 units in Dec 2022. As a result, the brand registered a growth rate of 5%.

According to Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., “In December, we sold a total of 35,171 SUVs, a healthy growth of 24% over last year. We continued to face some supply challenges on select parts. We are working closely with our suppliers to mitigate these challenges going forward”.
