Maruti Suzuki Adds Electronic Stability Program to Super Carry Mini Truck

Enhanced Safety for the Super Carry Mini Truck

Maruti Suzuki India has made its Super Carry mini truck safer by adding it with an Electronic Stability Program (ESP). With this addition, it becomes the first mini truck in its segment to be equipped with this safety feature. The company announced this on March 4, 2025.

The ESP system consists of seven major safety features to help keep the vehicle stable and prevent accidents. They are Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Engine Drag Control, Traction Control System, Rollover Prevention, Hydraulic Brake Assist, and the main ESP feature.

In addition to these safety features, Maruti Suzuki has added front disc brakes, reverse parking sensors, and seat belt reminders to the Super Carry. These additions reflect the company's focus on making its vehicles safer for drivers and businesses.

Official Statement Highlights Commitment to Safety

Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer of Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said that adding “ESP to the Super Carry shows the company’s commitment to innovation and customer safety. This step is part of their effort to improve the driving experience for their customers.”

Powerful Engine Options and Pricing

The Super Carry comes with a 1.2L K-Series Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine and a five-speed manual transmission. It is available in petrol and CNG options. The price ranges from ₹5,49,000 to ₹6,64,000 (ex-showroom).

Over 2.2 lakh units of Super Carry have been retailed by Maruti Suzuki since its launch through its network of over 370 commercial dealerships in 270 Indian cities. The mini truck is popular for various business uses, such as e-commerce delivery, courier, and transportation of goods.

In recent times, competition for mini trucks has grown. Safety features and fuel efficiency of use have become a greater emphasis with greater priority now from manufacturers as they respond to changing government regulations and customer demands. The Super Carry with new safety upgrades introduced is well positioned in competition in the market.
