Officials said that about 96% of the work has been completed. It includes an 840-metre-long viaduct, a 1.75 km long tunnel, a 650-metre cable-stayed bridge standing 180 metres above the Khandala Valley, and an 8.9 km tunnel that even passes under the Lonavala Lake. The tunnels, at 23.30 metres wide, will be Asia’s widest, with four lanes and an emergency lane.
