Here we come with the first look of a new product launched by Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM), called Electric Cargo M1KA. It is the country's first electric small commercial vehicle (SCV).
New electric vehicle maker Omega Seiki Mobility has recently unveiled Electric Cargo M1KA in the SCV segment. This new electric cargo vehicle is India's first electric small commercial vehicle made for multiple uses such as goods distribution, courier, E-Commerce and FMCG. Let's take a closer look at its first glimpse.
It is a green and practical loading vehicle that perfectly suits commercial applications like goods distribution, E-Commerce etc. Omega Electric Cargo M1KA LCV is manufactured to live up to the expectation of 'AAPKI AAMDANI KA SAATHI'. It is equipped with a well-appointed exterior design and a comfortable cabin. Also, it has 9.5 feet in length and 5 feet in width. The all-new lightweight Omega M1KA is loaded with a 90kWh battery pack that offers a driving range of 250kms on a single charge. This vehicle takes about 4 hours to charge fully at the DC fast-charging stations while up to 8 hours with a normal charger.

Omega Electric Cargo M1KA LCV - Exterior Qualities
The new Omega Electric cargo has simple yet excellent exteriors. It is designed with DRLs, LED headlamps and projector lamps rarely available in commercial vehicles. It has a fibre body with an aerodynamic design. The front windshield is detailed with wipers, and M1KA badging is seen in chrome. It has body-coloured ORVMs, 17" wheels, disc brakes and OSM badging, which completes the exterior. It is noted on the prototype that the ground clearance is a bit low, but this is due to the condition of the battery pack. It may change for the better on the production model.
Omega Electric Cargo M1KA LCV - Cabin & Other Specifications
The new electric cargo has a 2 seater cabin which provides some driver comforts. Cabins with large driver's side windows saw widespread use of fibre polymers. The seats are comfortable, along with a reclining function and integrated headrests. It is equipped with a premium steering wheel with steering mounted functions.
This vehicle comes with slim blue LED accents and a display unit fitted on the dashboard. The display has an android based touchscreen and Bluetooth function to sync the smartphone. It gets Android Auto with Google Maps real-time alerts for turn-by-turn navigation. The vehicle also has 20 connected features such as vehicle health status, remote commands, driving analytics and many more.
Omega Electric Cargo M1KA LCV - Power & Performance
Omega claims that this electric cargo will come with an advanced 30Kw motor that its partners are developing jointly. Also, it will have a 90 kWh Lithium Nickel Manganese Cobalt Oxide (NMC) battery. The amazing battery will generate 347 Nm peak output and be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and dry clutch. It will have a payload capacity of 2 tonnes, which will go up to 200-250 km on a single charge with a top speed of 100 km/h.
