2,500 Electric Pink Autos for Women Drivers
Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM), an electric vehicle company, has joined hands with Naari Shakti Women Welfare Charitable Trust to help women in India become more independent. Together, they are launching 2,500 electric Pink Auto Rickshaws for women drivers. This project is part of OSM’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme and aims to improve women’s mobility, job opportunities, and confidence.
Affordable and Safe Electric Autos
The new electric autos cost ₹2,59,999 (on-road, Delhi) and will be given to women at just 1% interest. These autos are expected to cost only one-fourth of what CNG autos need to run. As a result, they will be more affordable for women who want to earn and drive.
Moreover, the Pink Autos come with safety features like GPS and emergency alert systems. These will help women feel secure while driving. In addition, OSM offers full-time service support. A smart chatbot powered by AI will help users with service, repairs, and real-time updates.
Supporting Women in Cities and Towns
The project is focused on helping women in both cities and smaller towns. In the first phase, the autos will be launched in Delhi NCR. After that, they will be sent to places like Bangalore, North Karnataka, and Chennai.
Along with the vehicles, women drivers will get training and financial literacy support. This will help them learn how to manage their work better and keep the business running smoothly.
A Step Towards a Better Future
This initiative also supports important national movements like Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and the goals of women inclusion discussed during India’s G20 Presidency.
OSM is known for building electric vehicles that are clean and energy efficient. Their goal is to make transport eco friendly and inclusive. Meanwhile, Naari Shakti Trust works across India to support women through education, jobs, and healthcare.
Overall, this partnership is a positive step towards creating better opportunities for women and building a greener, more equal future.
