Affordable and Long-Range EV for Businesses and Fleet Operators
Omega Seiki, in partnership with Clean Electric, has launched a new electric three-wheeler called the Omega Seiki NRG. This vehicle is designed to provide an affordable and efficient solution for businesses and fleet operators. Priced at Rs 3.55 lakh (ex-showroom), the Omega Seiki NRG offers a long driving range of over 300 km on a single charge. It comes with a 15 kWh battery pack and includes a 5-year or 200,000 km battery warranty.
Designed for Cost-Effective and Eco-Friendly Transportation
The launch of the Omega Seiki NRG comes as the country's demand for electric mobility grows. Businesses and fleet operators are looking for cost-effective alternatives to petrol and diesel vehicles. To support this transition, Omega Seiki aims to deploy 5,000 units of the NRG by the next financial year. This move will make electric three-wheelers more accessible to a larger number of users.
Advanced Battery Technology for Better Performance
The Omega Seiki NRG runs on the FLO 150 battery, a 15 kWh LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery pack developed by Clean Electric. One of the key highlights of this battery is the Direct Contact Liquid Cooling (DCLC) technology. This cooling system helps maintain the battery’s temperature, making it safe and reliable even in extreme weather conditions.
In addition, Clean Electric has used a cell-to-pack design, which increases energy storage efficiency. This innovation is crucial for achieving the vehicle’s 300 km driving range.
Fast Charging for Convenience
Charging time is a crucial factor for EV users, especially for businesses that require minimal downtime. The Omega Seiki NRG supports Bharat DC-001 public charging infrastructure, allowing users to charge up to 150 km in just 45 minutes. This makes it a practical choice for those who need a quick top-up charge during the day.
Expanding EV Portfolio and Manufacturing Presence
Omega Seiki has been steadily expanding its electric vehicle range. The company already offers two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers. With manufacturing units in Delhi NCR and Pune, Omega Seiki is further planning to establish a new facility in Chennai. This expansion will help meet the rising demand for EVs in the country.
Strong Focus on Local Production and Innovation
Omega Seiki is focused on developing sustainable mobility solutions through innovation and local manufacturing. The company designs its electric vehicles to meet commercial and passenger transportation needs. Its product lineup includes electric cargo and passenger vehicles, offering a cleaner and more efficient alternative to traditional fuel-powered options.
Investment in Battery and Charging Infrastructure
To further support EV adoption, Omega Seiki is actively investing in battery technology and charging solutions. The company collaborates with technology partners to improve battery efficiency and expand charging networks. This includes providing solutions for home charging and ensuring compatibility with public charging stations.
Expanding Dealership and Fleet Partnerships
Omega Seiki is also focusing on expanding its dealership network to make its EVs more accessible. With over 250 dealerships across India, the company is continuously working to expand its reach. Additionally, it collaborates with fleet operators and last-mile delivery services to promote electric mobility in commercial transportation.
