Daimler Truck has announced the appointment of Raghavendra Vaidya as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO), effective June 1, 2025. Vaidya will take charge of the company’s global IT operations, steering its digital transformation and supporting innovation across departments. He will succeed Marcus Claesson, who is stepping down at his own request to explore new opportunities.

• Joined Daimler AG in 2016 as SVP – IT at Mercedes-Benz R&D India
• Held key positions at General Electric before Daimler
• Holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from R.V. College of Engineering, Bangalore, and a Master of Technology in Software Systems from BITS Pilani

Outgoing CIO: Marcus Claesson

• Successfully established Daimler Truck’s stand-alone IT operations post spin-off from former Daimler AG
• Played a key role in enabling vehicle connectivity across all brands, crossing the milestone of 1 million connected vehicles
• Exits the organization voluntarily after a notable tenure
