Tata Motors, one of the leading CV makers in India, disclosed its sales results in January 2024. The company's domestic sales decreased by 3% overall. It sold 31,694 commercial vehicles (CVs) in January 2023, compared to 30,643 in January 2024.

HCV Category (Heavy Commercial Vehicle)
The HCV (Heavy Commercial Vehicles) category of Tata Motors recorded an 11% fall in January 2024 sales. The brand sold 8,906 units last month, which closed at 9,994 units in Jan 2023.
ILMCV Category (Intermediate, Light & Medium Commercial Vehicles)
The sales of Tata Motors' ILMCV (Intermediate, Light & Medium Commercial Vehicles) segment remain constant. The brand had 4,743 sales units in January 2024, compared to 4,755 in Jan 2023.
Passenger Carriers (PC) Category
The Passenger Carriers section of the brand has become the constant ranker. Tata Motors sold 3,872 passenger carrier units in January 2024, compared to 2,851 in Jan 2023. As a result, the sales numbers surged by 36%.
SCV Cargo and Pickup
Tata has a good market share in the small commercial vehicle cargo and pickup segment. Furthermore, the brand experienced a 7% drop in January 2024 sales. In Jan 2023, the brand sold 14,094 units of SCV and Pickup, which decreased to 13,122 units in January 2024.
CV Exports
The performance of the brand increased in export sales. The brand sold 1,086 units of CV in Jan 2023, which increased to 1,449 units in January 2024. As a result, its sales increased by 33% this month.
