Tata Motors Records 5% Decline in Overall Commercial Vehicle Sales in June 2025
For June 2025, Tata Motors announced its commercial vehicle sales performance, recording a total of 30,238 units. This represents a 5% decline compared to the 31,980 units sold in June 2024. Despite the overall drop in sales, Tata Motors continued to demonstrate strength, especially in the CV export segment, which witnessed a remarkable 70% growth.
Tata Motors remains a significant player in the Indian commercial vehicle market, maintaining its leadership despite challenging conditions. The company sold 27,936 units domestically in June 2025, which is a 9% decline compared to 30,623 units in June 2024. The SCV Cargo and pickup segment experienced a major decline, while other segments like Passenger Carriers remained stable.
Category-wise Tata Motors Truck Sales Report for June 2025

HCV (Heavy Commercial Vehicles):
The HCV segment faced a decline of 17%, with Tata Motors selling 7,359 units in June 2025 compared to 8,891 units in June 2024.
ILMCV (Intermediate, Light & Medium Commercial Vehicles):
This segment showed a slight decline of 3%, with 4,863 units sold in June 2025, down from 4,997 units in June 2024.
Passenger Carriers (PC):
The Passenger Carriers category registered a stable growth of 0%, with sales increasing slightly from 5,654 units in June 2024 to 5,658 units in June 2025.
SCV Cargo and Pickup:
This segment saw a significant decline of 9%, with sales dropping to 10,056 units in June 2025, down from 11,081 units in June 2024.
CV Export:
Tata Motors' export performance saw a robust increase of 70%, with 2,302 units exported in June 2025 compared to 1,357 units in June 2024.
While the overall sales showed a decline, the stable performance in the Passenger Carriers segment and strong growth in exports highlight Tata Motors' continued strength in the commercial vehicle market.
