Tata Motors Maintains Steady Commercial Vehicle Sales in January 2025

For January 2025, Tata Motors has announced its sales performance, recording a slight drop in overall commercial vehicle sales. Tata Motors recorded total sales of 31,988 units in January 2025, showing a slight decrease compared to 32,092 units in January 2024.

Despite this minor decline, the passenger carrier segment achieved significant growth, marking an 18% increase and emerging as the standout performer for the month.

Tata Motors, a prominent name in the Indian commercial vehicle market, disclosed a slight 2% decrease in its domestic commercial vehicle sales. The brand sold 30,083 units domestically in January 2025, down from 30,643 units in January 2024.

Tata Motors Commercial Vehicle Sales in January 2025

HCV (Heavy Commercial Vehicle): 

The HCV segment witnessed a marginal 1% increase in sales. Tata Motors sold 8,990 HCV units in January 2025 compared to 8,906 units in January 2024.

ILMCV (Intermediate, Light & Medium Commercial Vehicles): 

Sales in the ILMCV segment showed strong growth, with an 12% increase. Tata Motors sold 5,298 units in January 2025, up from 4,743 units in January 2024.

Passenger Carriers (PC): 

The passenger carrier segment continued its strong performance, registering a remarkable 18% growth. Sales rose from 3,872 units in January 2024 to 4,582 units in January 2025.

SCV Cargo and Pickup: 

Tata Motors faced a decline in the SCV cargo and pickup segment, with sales dropping by 15%. The brand sold 11,213 units in January 2025, down from 13,122 units in January 2024.

CV Export: 

The export performance for commercial vehicles improved significantly, with 1,905 units sold in January 2025 compared to 1,449 units in January 2024, reflecting a strong 31% growth.

While the overall sales saw a minor dip, Tata Motors' passenger carriers and ILMCV segments showcased growth, reflecting the brand's strength and market adaptability.
