Tata Motors Reports Selling 27,042 Commercial Vehicles in July 2024

Tata Motors revealed its sales figures for July 2024, showing a drop in commercial vehicle sales. The total sales decreased by 18.00%, with 27,042 units sold in July 2024 compared to 32,944 units the previous year.
However, the brand's passenger carriers performed well in the previous month, growing by 3.00% and becoming the top performers.

Tata Motors, a leading Indian commercial vehicle manufacturer, disclosed that its domestic commercial vehicle sales fell by 19.00%. In July 2023, 31,216 commercial vehicles were sold, but the number dropped to 25,436 units in July 2024.

Overall, commercial vehicle sales decreased by 18.00%, from 32,944 units in July 2023 to 27,042 units in July 2024.

ILMCV Category (Intermediate, Light & Medium Commercial Vehicles)

The sales of Tata Motors' ILMCV (Intermediate, Light & Medium Commercial Vehicles) segment recorded a major 11.00% decrease in July 2024. The brand had 4,341 sales units in July 2024, compared to 4,899 in July 2023.

Passenger Carriers (PC) Category

The brand's Passenger Carrier section has become a constant gainer. Tata Motors sold 4,424 passenger carrier units in July 2024, compared to 4,292 in July 2023. As a result, the sales numbers surged by 3.00%.

SCV Cargo and Pickup

Tata has a good market share in the small commercial vehicle cargo and pickup segment. Furthermore, the brand experienced a 25.00% sales loss in July 2024. In July 2023, the brand sold 13,523 units of SCV and Pickup, which decreased to 10,178 units in July 2024.

CV Exports

The brand's export sales performance decreased by 7.00% in July 2024. The brand sold 1,728 units of CV in July 2023, which declined to 1,606 units in July 2024.
