Tata Motors, a prominent maker of commercial vehicles in India, revealed its sales figures for April 2024. The company's domestic CV sales grew by 33.00%. In April 2024, sales of commercial vehicles (CVs) totalled 28,516, as compared to 21,507 units in April 2023.
On the other hand, there was a 31.00% increase in the total sales of CVs. In April 2023, sales for this category were at 22,492 and saw a rise of 29,538 in April 2024.

HCV Category (Heavy Commercial Vehicle):-
The HCV (Heavy Commercial Vehicles) category of Tata Motors recorded a 13% rise in April 2024 sales. The Tata truck brand sold 7,875 units last month, which was 6,984 units in April 2023.
ILMCV Category (Intermediate, Light & Medium Commercial Vehicles):-
The sales of Tata Motors' ILMCV (Intermediate, Light & Medium Commercial Vehicles) segment recorded a major 101.00% increase in April 2024. The brand had 4,316 sales units in April 2024, compared to 2,148 in April 2023.
Passenger Carriers (PC) Category:-
The brand's Passenger Carrier section has become the constant gainer. Tata Motors sold 4,502 passenger carrier units in April 2024, compared to 2,061 in April 2023. As a result, the sales numbers surged by 118.00%.
SCV Cargo and Pickup:-
Tata has a good market share in the small commercial vehicle cargo and pickup segment. Furthermore, the brand experienced a 15.00% rise in sales in April 2024. In April 2023, the brand sold 10,314 units of SCV and Pickup, which increased to 11,823 units in April 2024.
CV Exports:-
The brand's export sales performance also increased. The brand sold 985 units of CV in April 2023, which increased to 1,022 units in April 2024. As a result, its sales increased by 4.00% this month.
