A New EV Partnership for Greener Mobility in Tamil Nadu
TVS Motor Company has joined hands with OOR Cabs, a growing ride-hailing startup, to bring more electric vehicles (EVs) to Tamil Nadu. Under this partnership, TVS will provide 500 TVS King EV Max electric three-wheelers to OOR Cabs during the financial year 2025–26.
This new step aims to make city travel cleaner, easier, and better for the environment.
First Step Begins in Tiruchirappalli
The journey begins in Tiruchirappalli (Trichy), where the first batch of 10 TVS King EV Max vehicles was handed over to customers during a special event. From there, OOR Cabs plans to expand its electric auto services to other cities like Madurai and Coimbatore.
In addition, the company wants to grow its electric fleet by 20 to 30 vehicles every month. This will help create more jobs and support both men and women drivers, especially in smaller towns and cities.
Customised EVs for Better Passenger Experience
What makes this partnership special is the TVS King EV Max itself. This electric three-wheeler comes with smart features like Bluetooth connectivity and fast charging. These features have been specially designed to meet OOR Cabs' goal of giving passengers a smoother and more comfortable ride.
Moreover, the electric autos are expected to reduce pollution and offer a quiet and safe travel experience for daily passengers.
A Shared Vision for a Cleaner Future
Rajat Gupta, Business Head of Commercial Mobility at TVS Motor, said they are happy to support OOR Cabs in growing green mobility in India.
On the other hand, Maria Issac, CEO of OOR Cabs, said the company wants to offer clean, simple, and people-friendly transport. She also said that working with TVS Motor helps them bring better services to riders and cut down on pollution.
Supporting Tamil Nadu’s Clean Mobility Goals
This partnership supports the Government of Tamil Nadu’s goal to lead India in eco-friendly transportation. By bringing more electric autos to roads, both companies are helping the state move towards a greener and more inclusive future.
Overall, this is a big step forward for cleaner cities and better job opportunities in Tamil Nadu.
