Eicher Commercial Vehicle Sales Show 1.7% Growth in June 2025

Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV), a joint venture between Volvo Trucks and Eicher Trucks, recorded a stable 1.7% year-on-year growth in June 2025. Total sales reached 5,449 units, up from 5,355 units sold in June 2024.

Eicher Trucks Maintains Growth in June 2025

Eicher-branded trucks posted a 0.74% increase in overall commercial vehicle sales compared to June 2024. The company sold 5,284 units this June, up from 5,245 units a year ago, maintaining its upward momentum in the competitive commercial vehicle segment.

Domestic Sales Performance

In the domestic market, Eicher Trucks sold 4,925 units, marking a 0.6% rise compared to 4,892 units in June 2024. Segment-wise performance includes:

• SCV/LMD Trucks (<18.5T):3,166 units sold vs 3,101 units last year — a growth of 2.1%
• Heavy Duty Trucks (>18.5T):1,759 units sold vs 1,791 units last year — a decline of 1.8%

Export Sales See a Slight Rise

Eicher’s export sales improved marginally, growing by 1.6%, with 359 units shipped in June 2025 compared to 353 units in June 2024. Detailed performance includes:

• Low & Medium Duty Exports:340 units vs 291 units — 16.8% growth
• Heavy Duty Exports:19 units vs 62 units — 69.4% decline

These figures reflect strong demand for Eicher’s LMD range in global markets, despite a drop in heavy-duty exports.

Volvo Trucks Registers Strong Growth

Volvo Trucks, under the VECV, also posted a strong increase. The brand sold 165 units in June 2025, up from 110 units in June 2024 — a growth of 50.0%. While the volumes remain lower than Eicher, Volvo continues to perform steadily in the premium heavy-duty truck segment.

VECV's Positive Momentum Continues

With combined sales of 5,449 units in June 2025, VECV has maintained a steady performance across both domestic and export markets. Eicher’s consistent growth in the light and medium-duty segment, along with a boost in exports, contributed to the overall positive trend.
