The VE Commercial Vehicle, the joint venture of Volvo Group & Eicher Motors, has recently showcased its sales data. And it has created a sales growth of 17.41% in the domestic market. Looking at the truck sales data, we can see that they sold 5,663 units in December 2022 compared to 4,823 units.
The truck sales figures 2022 of December for Eicher Motors are impressive. They have sold 5,885 units compared to the 5,550 units in December 2021, which resulted in a 6.03% hike in sales. The segment-wise truck sales in India of Eicher showed positive signs. The LMD (3.5-15T) segment recorded a growth of 5.80% by selling 3,748 units last month, which was 3,541 units in December last year. At the same time, Heavy Duty truck sales in India increased by 49.4% in December 2022.
The export sales of the brand took a dip, according to the December 2022 sales report. The Light & Medium Duty commercial vehicle recorded a downfall of -62.80%. The segment sold 207 units in December 2022 and 557 units in the same month last year. On the other hand, the Heavy Duty segment sold 15 units which were 170 in December 2021. As a result, the sales went down by -91.20%. As a result, the total export sales of the brand decreased by -69.46% in the truck sales report in December 2022. The complete unit sales of December 2022 were 222, which was 727 in the same month last year.
The sales of Volvo Group Commercial Vehicles created a growth of 43.40%. The joint venture sold 218 commercial vehicles in December 2022, which was 152 units in December last year.
The total Truck sales statistics 2022 of the joint venture of VECV stands at 6,103 units in December 2022, which was 5,702 units in December 2021. As a result, the venture had a sales growth of 7.03%.
