Eicher CV sales decreased by 0.28% in December 2024, with 6,137 units sold.
VECV, a partnership between Volvo Trucks and Eicher Trucks, recorded a 0.55% increase in commercial vehicle (CV) sales in December 2024. The total number of VECVs sold in December 2024, including domestic and export sales, was 6,426 units, compared to 6,391 units in December 2023.
In December 2024, Eicher Trucks saw a slight dip of 0.28% in overall commercial vehicle sales compared to December 2023. Domestic sales dropped by 2.99%, with 5,778 units sold, down from 5,956 units in the same month last year.
Segment-Wise Sales:
The LD Trucks and LMD (3.5-18.5T) segment sold 3,641 CV units in December 2024, compared to 3,868 CV units in December 2023. This resulted in a 5.87% decline in sales.
Additionally, the Heavy Duty (>18.5T) segment experienced a 2.35% increase in sales. The segment sold 2,137 units of CVs in December 2024, compared to 2,088 units in December 2023.
Explore Sales Data:
The LMD segment of Export Eicher Truck sales for December 2024 witnessed significant growth of 94.51%. This segment completed sales of 319 CV units in December 2024, compared to 164 CV units in December 2023.
Similarly, the HD or Heavy Duty export segment also recorded a positive trend. In December 2024, the segment sold 40 units of CVs, compared to 34 units in the same month last year, achieving a 17.65% growth.
Overall, the Export Eicher Truck Sales for December 2024 increased by 81.31%, with 359 CV units sold compared to 198 units in December 2023.
Volvo Truck Performance:
Volvo Trucks reported a 21.94% increase, selling 289 units in December 2024, up from 237 units in December 2023.
Overall, VECV, the joint venture between Volvo Trucks and Eicher Trucks, sold 6,426 CV units in December 2024, recording a slight growth of 0.55%. The brand continues to show resilience and steady performance in the commercial vehicle market.
