Zuperia Auto Pvt. Ltd. (ZAPL) has introduced Youdha, a new electric vehicle (EV) brand aimed at the mass market. Meanwhile, Lohia Auto will now focus on premium electric vehicles. This move helps the company expand its presence in India's fast-growing EV sector.
A Strategy for Growth
On March 17, 2025, in New Delhi, ZAPL announced its rebranding. The company described this step as a shift from "legacy to leadership" in India's electric vehicle industry. With over 16 years of experience, Lohia Auto has built a strong foundation in EV manufacturing. It can produce more than 100,000 vehicles each year and operates through a network of over 120 dealerships across the country.
The Vision Behind Youdha
Ayush Lohia, Director of ZAPL, shared the reason behind this transformation. He explained, "Lohia Auto has always been about innovation and empowerment. With Youdha, we are bringing our vision to a larger audience. Our goal is not just to sell EVs but to create a brand that stands for ambition, dignity, and success."
The name "Youdha" comes from Sanskrit, meaning "warrior." It represents strength and determination. The brand's logo features a warrior's shield with a bold "Y" at its centre. Additionally, it includes elements inspired by an electric charging socket and the design of a three-wheeler, making it unique and meaningful.
Why the Indian Market Needs Youdha
India's electric vehicle market is growing rapidly. More people are choosing EVs because they are cost-effective and better for the environment. Government incentives and rising awareness about sustainable mobility are also supporting this shift.
Among EVs, electric three-wheelers play a crucial role in transportation. They are widely used for last-mile deliveries and passenger travel in cities and small towns.
