In the ongoing edition of Auto Expo, Tata Motors showcased its new Tata Starbus Fuel Cell EV. Also, the brand has designed and developed the vehicle indigenously. It is a modern, state-of-the-art vehicle for a mass mobility solution for urban transportation requirements. It offers multiple modern features like enhanced safety and ease of boarding on the bus with its low entry and comfortable seats. Tata Starbus Fuel Cell EV – Modern Specifications:-
- Tata Starbus Fuel Cell EV comes with an Integrated Motor Generator delivering a power of 245 kW. The HV battery of this vehicle has a Li-Ion Battery pack with a capacity of 25 – 30kWh.
- It has a Fuel cell Stack which has a net power system of 75-100kW and a Liquid, 50/50 water-glycol cooling type.
- The fuel system of this vehicle consists of Compressed Hydrogen Gas and 4 Cylindrical of TYPE III fuel tank type. The hydrogen is filled at 350 bar in 10 minutes.
- Tata Starbus Fuel Cell EV has a maximum speed of 70-75 Kmph and a gradeability of 17% at the rated GVW. Also, it has a kilometre range of 250 to 300 km, scalable per requirements.
- The GVW capacity of this vehicle is 19.5 tonnes. Also, the bus is configured with 2 doors.
- The overall dimensions of this vehicle are 12000 MM; it has a wheelbase of 6300 MM, with a floor height of 400 MM. In addition, the overall height of this vehicle is 3350 MM and an overall width of 2600 MM.

- The vehicle is a Fuel Cell Hydrogen Bus that delivers zero emission for clean air. In addition, fatigue-free driving without the clutch and gear shifts.
- It has a regenerative braking system that provides efficient braking. In addition, it comes with Electronic Braking System (EBS) and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) for improved safety.
- Tata Starbus Fuel Cell EV complies with the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). It includes Driver Monitoring System (DMS) and Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS). Also, it has a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and a Frontal collision avoidance system.
- The bus has roomy interiors which can be customised according to the needs and requirements of applications.
- It comes with high safety and security levels with the Intelligent Transport System (ITS). In addition, the new generation telematics offers efficient and user-friendly vehicle maintenance and tracking.
