Ashok Leyland Reports Decline in Total CV Sales, Sold 14,768 Units in Feb 2024

Ashok Leyland Sold 14,199 CV Sales Units in the Domestic Market

Ashok Leyland, the leading Indian manufacturer of commercial vehicles, has recently released its sales data for February. The figures indicate a 9.24% decline in total sales across both domestic and export markets.

In February 2023, the company sold 16,113 commercial vehicles, marking an 11.88% decrease from the 14,199 units sold domestically. Notably, export sales surged by 257.86% from February 2023 to February 2024, with 569 units sold compared to 159 units the previous year.

Ashok Leyland Commercial Vehicle Sales Report, Feb 2024, saw a sales drop of 18%. It sold 8,492 units, compared to 10,312 units in Feb 2023. As a result, this CV manufacturer witnessed a decrease in sales in the M&HCV truck segment.  

Furthermore, its LCV category again experienced a 2% dip in sales. The brand sold 5,707 LCV, compared to 5,801 in Feb 2023. The Total Ashok Leyland CV Sales Report segment sold 14,199 units in February 2024, compared to 16,113 units in Feb 2023.

Based on the Feb 2024 Export CV Sales Statistics for Ashok Leyland, there was a remarkable 257.86% surge in sales. 569 units were sold in Feb 2024, compared to 159 in February 2023. 

Further, the LCV category reported sales of 388 units in February 2024, compared to 102 units in February 2023. The brand recorded an impressive sales growth of 280.39% in the LCV category. 

Furthermore, it experienced a sales surge with a remarkable 217.54% growth in the M&HCV category. Under the M&HCV vehicles, the company sold 181 units in Feb 2024, compared to 57 units in Feb 2023.  

Commercial Vehicle Gross (Domestic + Export) Sales Data, February 2024

In Feb 2024, Ashok Leyland witnessed a 9.24% decrease in Gross CV Sales, including a 16% loss in M&HCV categories and a 3% gain in LCV. 

In Gross Commercial Vehicle Sales, 14,768 units were recorded in Feb 2024, compared to 16,272 in Feb 2023. Additionally, under the M&HCV Truck category, 8,673 CVs were sold in Feb 2024, compared to 10,369 CVs in Feb 2023. Within the LCV category, 6,095 CVs were sold in Feb 2024, compared to 5,903 CVs in Feb 2023.
