Ashok Leyland Domestic Retail Sales Increased by 44% in August

Total retail sales were at 9360 units in August as over 6325 units in the year-ago time, registering an increase of 48%, Ashok Leyland said.

On Wednesday, New Delhi: Hinduja Group flagship, Ashok Leyland, reported a 44% domestic vehicle retail sales extension at 8400 units in August.

The company had sold 5824 units domestically in the same month last year, Ashok Leyland said in a statement.

Total sales reached 9360 units in August as against 6325 units in the year-ago time, listing a growth of 48%.

M&HCV (Medium and heavy commercial vehicle) retail sales in the domestic business were up 79% at 3986 units last month compared to 2222 units in the year-ago period, it added.

The company said that light commercial vehicle (LCV) retail sales stood at 4414 units last month against 3602 units in August 2020, up 23%.
