Ashok Leyland Gives Over 500 Vehicles to 'Project Mumkin' for J&K youth

Ashok Leyland reinforced its promise towards the youth under the Jammu and Kashmir administration's 'Project Mumkin' by giving them a fleet of 500 SCVs named 'Dost.'

On Sunday, Ashok Leyland, one of India's leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, reinforced its promise towards the youth under the J&K administration's 'Project Mumkin' by giving them a fleet of 500 SCVs named 'Dost.'

On Sunday afternoon, the keys of some of the commercial vehicles were handed over to youths by Amit Shah (Union Home Minister) in the presence of Manoj Sinha (Lieutenant Governor) and Jitendra Singh (Union ministers) and Devender Pradhan at a public rally in Jammu.

The partnership between the Jammu and Kashmir administration and the company will stimulate entrepreneurship among the youth. The commercial vehicles have been delivered across all district headquarters, officials said.

Vipin Sondhi (Managing director and chief executive officer, Ashok Leyland) said, "This partnership is really a privilege and a chance for Ashok Leyland to continue contributing to the welfare of the welfare. Jammu & Kashmir's youth."

He said that the purpose is to promote entrepreneurship among the youth and thereby create job opportunities for them via this initiative.

"We are also providing continuous upskilling and education for the holistic development of the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. Technology and education are necessary pillars of the fabric of the society and economy, and once met together, anyone can dream and achieve anything," Sondhi said.

Rajat Gupta, Head for LCV at Ashok Leyland, said, "Through these 500 Dost vehicles, our motive is to empower youth who will strive for our country's greener and brighter future. This will enable socio-economic growth driven by livelihood generation solutions for the unemployed youth of Jammu and Kashmir between the age of 22 to 35 years. We are making youth Atmanirbhar for Atmasamman in the true sense.

Project Mumkin has been progressing in enabling socio-economic development, officials said.

This initiative is driven by career generation solutions for the youth of J&K between the ages of 22 to 35 years which is nearly 65% of the population, they said.

With their skills, eagerness, and passion, these individuals have been trying to transform J&K through employment, knowledge, and upskilling, the officials said.
