E-RICKSHAW(P) segment witnessed a growth of 126% in the CV retail sales of September 2022
FADA (Federation Of Automobile Dealership Associations) has issued the retail sales data of the commercial vehicle sector for the month of September 2022. The total number of commercial vehicle units sold in September 2022 was 1,35,148, with a growth of 39.19%, as the units sold in September 2021 were 97,099.
The sales of the 3-Wheeler category showed growth of 71.94% as it sold 63,915 units in September 2022 compared to the 37,172 units in September 2021.
E-RICKSHAW (P) - Under the E-Rickshaw (P) segment, the highest growth of 126% in its retail sales was witnessed in the month of September 2022. It is now accelerating at high speed, as also shown in the CV retail sales report. In this period, its units sold were 32,153 units in September 2022 compared to 14,227 units sold in September 2021.
E-RICKSHAW WITH CART (G) - Under the E-Rickshaw with Cart (G) segment, the growth of 44.54% in its retail sales was witnessed in the month of September 2022. In this period, its sold units were 1,720 units in September 2022 compared to 1,190 units sold in September 2021.
THREE WHEELER (GOODS) - Under the Three-wheeler (Goods) segment, a decline of 5.95% in its retail sale was witnessed in the month of September 2022. In this period, its sold units were 6,033 units in September 2022 compared to 6,415 units sold in September 2021.
THREE WHEELER (PASSENGER) - Under the Three-wheeler (Passenger) segment, a growth of 56.79% in its retail sale was witnessed in the month of September 2022. In this period, its sold units were 23,960 units in September 2022 compared to 15,282 units sold in September 2021.
THREE WHEELER (PERSONAL) - Under the Three-wheeler (Personal) segment, a shrink of 15.52% in its retail sales was witnessed in the month of September 2022. In this period, its sold units were 49 units in September 2022 compared to 58 units sold in September 2021.
Almost all categories of the Commercial Vehicles section showed growth in the CV Sales Figures of September 2022. According to the FADA commercial vehicle sales statistics, the CV sector obtained a growth of 18.87% as it sold 71,233 units in September 2022 compared to 59,927 units sold in September 2021.
The retail sales of LCV, MCV, HCV and other categories are explained below.
LCV - Under the Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) segment, a growth of 14.76% in its retail sales was witnessed in the month of September 2022. In this period, its units sold were 43,076 in September 2022 compared to 37,536 units sold in September 2021.
MCV - Under the Medium Commercial Vehicle (MCV) segment, a slight growth of 6.55% in its retail sales was witnessed in the month of September 2022. In this period, its sold units were 4,847 in September 2022 compared to 4,549 units sold in September 2021.
HCV - Under the Heavy Commercial Vehicle (LCV) segment, a growth of 39.60% in its retail sales was witnessed in the month of September 2022. In this period, its sold units were 21,318 in September 2022 compared to 15,271 units sold in September 2021.
The other segments within the CV sector closed the month with 1,992 units sold in September 2022, which were 2,571 units in September 2021. In this way, the sales of this segment went down by 22.52%.
