E Rickshaw (Passenger) segment highlighted a sales growth of 80.06% in the FADA Retail Sales Figures March 2023.
FADA (Federation Of Automobile Dealership Associations) usually releases monthly retail sales figures for the Indian CV (Commercial Vehicle) sector. With an overall sales growth of 32.47%, the total number of 3-wheelers & CVs sold in March 2023 was 1,79,647 units. In comparison, the selling units of these vehicles in March 2022 were 1,35,607 units. The 3-Wheeler category observed a maximum sales growth of 68.71% in March 2023. This category saw sales of 86,857 units in March 2023 and 51,483 units in March 2022. In the Truck Sales Data for March 2023, a total of 92,790 units of commercial vehicles were sold in this period. In contrast to it, it sold 84,124 units of commercial vehicles in March 2022. Hence, 10.30% sales growth was seen by commercial vehicles in India.
Segment-Wise Sales Report March 2023 of 3-Wheelers
E-RICKSHAW (P)- In this segment, a sales growth of 80.06% in retail was seen in March 2023. According to the Sales Report March 2023, 37,373 units of this category were sold compared to 20,756 units in March 2022.
E-RICKSHAW WITH CART (G)- In this segment, a sales growth of 39.01% was highlighted in March 2023. In this period, its sales units were 3,250 in March 2023 compared to 2,338 in March 2022.
THREE WHEELER (GOODS)- In this segment, a positive sales growth of 31.06% was witnessed in the month of March 2023. In this period, it in March 2023 compared to 8,043 units in March 2022.
THREE WHEELER (PASSENGER)- In this segment, a great sales growth of 75.80% was observed in March 2023. In this period, its sold units were 35,611 in March 2023 compared to 20,257 in March 2022.
THREE WHEELER (PERSONAL)- In this segment, a slight decline of 7.87% was observed in March 2023. In this period, its sold units were 82 in March 2023 compared to 89 in March 2022.
Segment-Wise Sales Report March 2023 of Commercial Vehicles
All CV segments excluding LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle) showed upward sales trends in the FADA Commercial Vehicle Sales Report March 2023. According to the FADA commercial vehicle sales statistics for March 2023, the CV sector is categorised into LCV, MCV, and HCV segments. The retail sales of these commercial vehicle categories are the following.
LCV- It saw a slight sales decline of 0.91% in March 2023. In this period, its units sold were 49,745 in March 2023 compared to 50,200 units sold in March 2022.
MCV- It witnessed a sales growth of 18.26% in its retail sales in March 2023. In this period, its sold units were 6,050 in March 2023 against 5,116 units in March 2022.
HCV- It highlighted a sales growth of 26.18% in retail sales in March 2023. In this period, its sold units were 33,119 in March 2023 against 26,247 units in March 2022.
Others- All remaining categories within the commercial vehicles completed March month with a sales growth of 51.35%. It observed 3,876 units sold in March 2023, which were 2,561 units in March 2022.
