Bengaluru: The transport department of Karnataka has determined to exempt motor vehicle tax for CVs in the state for May.
"Waive for one month is not sufficient since the lockdown began in April itself. We are demanding a waive from April to December 2021 due to the recession in business because of the pandemic." said K Radhakrishna Holla (president of Karnataka State Travel Operators Association)
He said the Government has also refused relief aid to private bus staff despite the industry going through the crisis due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
