Sales of Mahindra show the biggest growth of 49.71% in the Commercial vehicle sales report September 2022
The commercial vehicle sales statistics 2022 have been released by FADA (Federation of Automobiles Dealers Associations) recently. It presents an overall retail sales growth of 18.87% in India. The total retail sales of the CV segment touched 71,233 units in the month of September 2022 compared to 59,927 units in September 2021. Tata Motors remained to be the top player in Commercial Vehicle Sales in India 2022 as it sold 28,615 units. Mahindra showed a growth of 49.71% in its sales.
Commenting on the commercial vehicle sales figures 2022 for September month, Mr. Manish Raj Singhania said, “While the CV segment rose by 19%, it is the HCV (Heavy Commercial Vehicles) segment which witnessed a healthy growth of 40% YoY. Reasons like better availability of vehicles, festivities, bulk fleet purchases and the Government’s continued push for infrastructure development made this segment shine.”
Brand-Wise Commercial Vehicle Sales Data 2022
Almost all companies except Maruti Suzuki, Daimler, and others witnessed a surge in commercial vehicle sales in India in September 2022. You can check out the brand-wise sales data for the commercial vehicles segment.
It is the commercial vehicle unit of the Tata Group of companies. It has again placed first rank in the retail sales chart for September 2022. The brand sold 28,615 units of commercial vehicles in September 2022, with a growth of 15.28% compared to the 24,822 units sold in the same month last year.
It again witnessed remarkable progress of 49.71% in September 2022. According to the FADA sales report, it sold commercial vehicle units of 17,483 units in September 2022 compared to 11,678 units in September 2021.
It is the flagship company of the Hinduja Group of companies. It recorded a growth of 33.13%. The brand touched its sales to 11,284 units in September 2022 as compared to 8,476 units in September 2021.
It is the combined commercial vehicle unit of Volvo and Eicher Motors. It ended the month of September 2022 with a surge of 21.80% in its retail sales. FADA sales statistics of VECV present that the brand sold 4,638 commercial vehicle units compared to 3,808 units in the same month of the last year.
It experienced a decline of 22.39% in its retail sales for September 2022. It sold 3,036 units in September 2022 as compared to 3,912 units in September 2021.
It manufactures commercial vehicles in India with the name of BharatBenz trucks. The brand sold 1,162 units in September 2022 compared to 1,254 units in September 2021. It showed a slight decrease of 7.34% in its retail sales.
It witnessed a growth of 14.29% in its sales in September this year. The brand sold 984 units in September 2022 compared to 861 units in September last year.
It also showed progress in its retail sales in September 2022. As per the FADA commercial sales graph of September 2022, the sales of this brand increased by 23.93% as they sold 725 units in September 2022. It sold 585 units in September 2021.
The overall sales of other brands witnessed a decline of 27.04% as they sold 3,306 units in September 2022 compared to 4,531 units in September 2021.
