The Three Wheeler and Commercial Vehicle sales rose 695% and 278% respectively in May ‘22 sales report.
FADA's sales report for May '22 has been released ( Federation of Automobile Dealers Association). By looking at the report, we can say that the Commercial Vehicle and 3 Wheeler segment is booming again.
According to the FADA report, the total vehicle (3-Wheeler Vehicles + Commercial Vehicle) retail sales closed at 1,08,140 units in May '22, increasing 37%. The complete vehicle retail sales in May '21 was 22,822. The sales numbers went low during the pandemic period of Covid ‘19. If we compare these numbers to the May '20 report, numbers will tell the growth itself. The 3-Wheeler Vehicle and the Commercial Vehicle sector are striving toward new goals.
The numbers are excellent and showcase India's massive commercial and three-wheeler vehicle sales growth. The LCV, MCV and HCV sectors expanded their size, and the total sales number reached 66,632 units, growing up to 278.44% over the 17607 units of May '21. The LCV sales were standing at 38,635 units, going up by 308. 27% of the 9463 units of May '21. On the other hand, the MCV sales saw a growth of 329.30%; 3941 units were sold in May '22 and 918 units in May '21. The HCV retail sales stood at 20,945 units in May '22, up by 235.01% over the 6252 units sold in May '21.
The 3-Wheelers sales touched 41,508 units in May '22, growing over 695.93% of the 5215 units sold in May '21.
