Daimler India announced a strategic tie-up with Shriram Automall India Ltd to support commercial vehicle customers across the country in exchanging their used vehicles.
On Thursday, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, a subsidiary of Stuttgart-based Daimler, said the company is expanding its exchange business portfolio by entering into a strategic tie-up with Shriram Automall India Limited (SAMIL).
According to the company, this tie-up will provide strong support to all commercial vehicle customers across the country in exchanging their used vehicles.
Daimler India Commercial Vehicles announced a strategic tie-up agreement with Shriram Automall India Limited to sell their exchange vehicle through the Shriram network. This collaboration will provide a platform for customers to exchange their used vehicle of any brand for new or used BharatBenz (brand of Daimler India Commercial Vehicles) range of vehicles, a company statement said.
Rajaram Krishnamurthy, Vice President (Marketing and Sales) of DICV, said, "Our association with Shriram Automall, a leader in the exchange business, will facilitate easy access for customers to pre-owned BharatBenz vehicles.
He added, "this strategic tie up will be an effective tool and also add a tremendous value in providing top class reliable and efficient logistics solutions meeting the needs of the customer".
The strategic tie-up will provide strong support to all commercial vehicle customers in converting their used vehicles with shorter turnaround times, better resale value and hassle-free process. In addition, the platform will provide buyers with a carefully picked pool of used trucks that have been thoroughly tested for quality, made available through its national dealership network.

The release said, through their dedicated "Exchange" team, BharatBenz dealerships can use the platform of Shriram Automall India Limited to sell used vehicles to customers, both BharatBenz and other OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers).
The collaboration will help dealerships expand their service by increasing conversions in the dealership command area and enabling improvements in coverage, the statement said.
