The latest FADA data for October 2024 reveals an 11.45% rise in the sales of 3-wheeler vehicles. This growth is supported by key players like Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, and TVS Motors. Mahindra saw an impressive 40.48% increase, while TVS Motors achieved a growth of 54.73%.
FADA has shared the detailed sales figures for October 2024, showing a positive growth trend across most major brands. The total sales of 3-wheelers increased significantly, with a jump to 122,846 units from 110,221 units in October 2023, marking an increase of 11.45%.
Let’s break down the sales performance of various OEMs:
Bajaj, one of the leading players in the market, sold 47,978 units in October 2024, compared to 41,961 units in October 2023. This results in a growth of 14.34%.
Piaggio saw a slight decline in sales. The brand sold 9,041 units in October 2024, down from 9,364 units in October 2023, reflecting a decrease of 3.45%.
Mahindra & Mahindra experienced an outstanding 40.48% increase in sales. The Mahindra sold 5,901 units in October 2023, which rose to 8,290 units in October 2024.
Y.C. Electric saw positive growth, with 4,601 units sold in October 2024, up from 4,068 units in the same month last year. This marks a growth of 13.10%.
Mayuri, however, experienced a decrease in sales. The company sold 2,484 units in October 2024, compared to 3,132 units in October 2023, reflecting a decline of 20.69%.
Atul Auto witnessed a remarkable 46.94% increase in sales. The company sold 3,212 units in October 2024, compared to 2,186 units in the same month last year.
TVS Motors had an exceptional month, achieving a growth of 54.73%. The brand sold 2,451 units in October 2024, up from 1,584 units in October 2023.
Citylife, also known as Dilli Electric Auto Pvt. Ltd., recorded a 9.24% increase in sales. The brand sold 2,388 units in October 2024, compared to 2,186 units in October 2023.
Mini Metro had a modest growth of 2.06%, with 1,384 units sold in October 2024, compared to 1,356 units in the same month last year.
The category “Others, including EV,” saw an increase of 6.58% in October 2024. This group sold 41,017 units, up from 38,483 units in October 2023.
