FADA Combined CV Retail Sales for June 2024: 239,815 Units Sold

FADA Records a 1.10% Drop in Total Combined CV Sales in June 2024

Three-Wheeler Segment achieved 5.10% Growth in June 2024, with 94,321 Units Sold. 

The Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) has shared the latest sales figures for commercial vehicles (CVs) and three wheelers. In June 2024, combined CV sales reached 239,815 units, a 1.10% loss from the 242,471 units sold in June 2023.

Commercial vehicle sales also declined 4.74% to 72,747 units in June 2024, compared to 76,364 units in the same period last year. The three-wheeler market experienced a significant boost, with sales growing by 5.10% to 94,321 units in June 2024, up from 89,743 units in June 2023.

FADA Retail Sales Report by Segment - Three-Wheeler 

E-RICKSHAW (P)  

Under the E Rickshaw segment, retail sales dropped 2.78% in June 2024. The brand sold 37,963 units in June 2024, compared to 39,050 in June 2023.

E-RICKSHAW WITH CART (G)

This segment saw a 59.64% increase in retail sales in June 2024. The E-Rickshaw category sold 4,612 units in June 2024, compared to 2,889 in June 2023. 

THREE WHEELER (GOODS)

The 3-wheeler segment's June 2024 sales figure significantly increased by 3.35%. It sold 8,959 units in June 2024, compared to 8,669 in June 2023.   

THREE WHEELER (PASSENGER)

This passenger vehicle segment registered a major retail sales growth of 9.29% in June 2024. The segment sold 42,690 units in June 2024, compared to 39,060 in June 2023. 

THREE WHEELER (PERSONAL)

The personal three-wheeler saw a 29.33% rise in retail sales in June 2024. The segment sold 75 units in June 2023, which increased to 97 in June 2024. 

FADA Retail Sales Report by Segment - Commercial Vehicles (CV)

The commercial vehicle segment has also been segregated according to LCV, MCV, HCV, and others. The following are the complete CV sales figures. 

LCV

The LCV segment lost 6.46% in retail sales in June 2024. The segment closed with 40,711 units in June 2024, compared to 43,523 units in June 2023.

MCV

The MCV category of commercial vehicles sold 6,872 units in June 2024, compared to 6,513 units in June 2023. As a result, the MCV segment experienced a growth rate of 5.51%. 

HCV 

In June 2024, retail sales in the Heavy Commercial Vehicle segment decreased slightly by 5.93%. During this period, 21,546 units were sold, compared to 22,904 in June 2023.

Others

All other remaining segments of the CV category ended in June 2024, with sales of 3,618 units. In June 2023, it sold 3,424 units, which resulted in sales growth of 5.67%.
